hey its me erin scanlon!

i'm just a girl who's mission is to inspire others to live their best lives. 

i was born and raised in Scottsdale, AZ into a huge crazy Irish family. i went to the University of Arizona for college where i majored in Family Studies and Human Development and was in Army ROTC. i graduated in 2014 and Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant Field Artillery Officer in the US Army. my first duty station was Fort Sill, OK, and my next was Fort Bragg, NC (where I am currently living). i served in the 82nd Airborne Division and 18th Field Artillery Brigade and spent my time shooting canons, jumping out of airplanes and leading Soldiers. unfortunately, two years into my service, i was raped by another soldier at a party. although i didn't receive justice in the military court martial system, i have turned this trauma into a positive, learning to really live, using my experience to advocate for others, and really making a difference in our world.

i also enjoy hiking, yoga, painting, shopping, and being a momma to my many fur babies :)
