Life update!!!!

if you haven't gotten a chance to see on my social media yet.... i am ecstatic to announce that i was recently selected to represent North Carolina as Ms. North Carolina Universal!!!

i am extremely excited for this opportunity to represent North Carolina as a veteran and a sexual assault survivor, and to use this platform to inspire other sexual assault victims to speak out and to inform others of the prevalence of and challenges facing military sexual assault victims through my foundation www.combatsexualassault.org.

i will be competing in the Ms. USA Universal pageant in May, however, i have absolutely zero experience in the pageant world so this should be interesting!! ;) my initial thoughts the first time i heard of pageants or saw pageant girls years ago was what a lot of others also probably think... "there's no way i could nor do i even want to do that. it's all about looks and money and popularity and that's definitely not for me".

but what i realized only recently is that while three years ago i was physically a great candidate for stuff like this, walking on a stage in an evening gown and a bikini for example, i never would have been selected because i did zero volunteering or philanthropy or really anything altruistic LOL, and i really didn't have any sort of story or experience worth listening to (except maybe being a female combat arms officer and jumping out of airplanes LOL). currently i'm not really happy with my body but i'm working really hard on becoming healthy and happy again, and i'm on a great new path. and now i actually have all the "make a difference, good person stuff"! LOL. so i'm so excited for this new opportunity to really be the best woman i can be, and to really live my best life!!!

I am currently looking for opportunities to be a guest supporter or speaker at any events for veterans, empowerment, supporting mental health, or other non-profits. If interested in having Ms. North Carolina Universal at your event, please contact me.

I am also looking for sponsors to help with costs of attending these events as well as the Ms. USA Universal pageant in May. I'm looking for any beauty, fitness, travel, accommodation services as well as other sponsorship packages.
